To allow for essential Library Annexe Upgrade works to be carried out safely, the Postgraduate Study Space on Level 5 of the University Library will be closed from Monday 17 March until Monday 31 March.

An alternative Postgraduate Pop-up Space is now available in the Learn Lab on Level 3 of the Library opposite the Main Stairs, and in the Jura Lab in the Level 4 Annexe. If you need any directions, our Reach Out Ambassadors in the Library will be happy to help.

We apologise for any inconvenience this closure causes, and we would like to thank you for your patience while these essential works progress.

About the Library Annexe Upgrade Project 

In November 2024, work began on a £23 million investment project to upgrade the Annexe of the University Library.   

The Annexe exterior will be fully renewed, with roof coverings and wall cladding replaced with modern materials that increase energy efficiency and meet current technical standards. Annexe study spaces will also be improved, with more natural light, upgraded ventilation, better heating and cooling facilities, and more access to power.
