Introducing the Learning & Teaching Strategy Unit
Published: 11 December 2024
An introduction to the new dedicated team has been established to help provide further focus on the development of the Learning & Teaching Strategy’s workstreams, a dedicated resource to enable the strategy implementation.
In June of this year, there was an opportunity to review the current structures of the Transformation portfolio. From this, a dedicated Learning & Teaching Strategy Unit was created within Student and Academic Services (SAS).
This Unit consolidates the roles and expertise of colleagues who had been based within the Transformation Team to support Learning and Teaching, and Assessment and Feedback, with those colleagues in Academic Policy and Governance who have complementary Learning and Teaching Strategy-focused remits and skills.
This new dedicated team has been established to help provide further focus on the development of the Learning & Teaching Strategy’s workstreams, a dedicated resource to enable the strategy implementation. The new team comprises:
- Amanda Sykes, Head of the Learning & Teaching Strategy Unit
- Barry Millar, Senior Project Manager
- Karla Cagney, Senior Project Manager
- Craig Brown, Strategic Learning and Teaching Technologist
- Dr Jenna-Marie Lundy, Academic Business Strategist
- Dr Jessica Bownes, Learning & Teaching Strategy Manager
- Dr Ashley Lewis-Cole, Learning & Teaching Strategy Manager
- Dr Michael McEwan, Senior Lecturer, Head of Subject in Academic and Digital Development, and Co-Lead of Transforming Curricula
- Kevin McShane, Higher Skills Development Manager
- Louise Keogh, Communications & Engagement Lead
- Holly Thomson, User Researcher
