Implementation is underway of a phased approach to introducing colleagues to the new MyGrades Moodle plugin. For staff, MyGrades will reduce the need for manual grade aggregation by taking the grades from the course assessment components, calculating the overall course grade and sending the grade to the student’s MyGrades Dashboard. Once all courses have adopted MyGrades, students will be able to see all their assessment due dates, marking dates, feedback and grades in one place.
Colleagues from the Learning Innovation Support Unit (LISU) recently held their first upskilling session on Gradebook setup. Setting up Gradebook correctly is vital to ensure that assignments and grades are accurately migrated through to Student MyGrades.
A recording of the LISU session is now available
LISU has now published additional upskilling session dates for anyone responsible for a credit-bearing Moodle course who was unable to attend the first session. It is important that colleagues attend one of these sessions.
