Congratulations to David Ellis, whose debut publication in PLoS ONE made a huge splash in the media on Friday (14th December 2012).

Major coverage included a coveted primetime interview on BBC's Radio 4's Today programme (the BBC's flagship news and current affairs programme), followed by 

hourly rotation on BBC TV and radio news headlines. This is outstanding profile for University research. David’s paper is by far the most viewed new publication in PLoS ONE.
