1984 Engineering alumni from various degrees, including Mechanical, Electronics & Electrical and Civil Engineering, gathered on campus this October. The group enjoyed a Historical Tour led by the SRC, followed by a visit to our new campus developments with Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, ahead of a meal at Òran Mór. Rob Wilson recounts the day below;

The reunion on Saturday 14th October for the 1984 Engineering graduates went very well. We started with the historic tour of Glasgow University which was a very informative experience even though we went to the University. The wet start to the tour did not dampen our spirits and the sun came out halfway through. We were then shown the new buildings on campus by Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, who was an undergraduate at the University at the same time as us, before he joined us for a meal.

We had lunch at Òran Mór, at the top of Byres Road, at a table for 10. Many of us had not seen each other in 40 years so it was great to catch up. We certainly won’t wait as long for the next reunion and hopefully, some of our 1984 Naval Architect and Aeronautical Engineer alumni can join us.
