Alumna Dr Lynda Donaldson selected for the Homeward Bound global leadership initiative for women in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Medicine).
Dr Lynda Donaldson (BSc 2006), who completed our Zoology Honours programme, is one of 108 women with STEMM backgrounds from across the globe to be chosen by the Homeward Bound programme in 2023, as part of #TeamHB8, and will embark on an Antarctic voyage in January 2025.
The Homeward Bound programme is a 12-month transformative leadership initiative for women and non-binary individuals with a background in STEMM, at any stage of their career. Launching in 2016 with the largest women’s expedition to Antarctica ever, participants access unique learning and development opportunities designed to challenge existing leadership models and facilitate women with a bespoke experience aimed at enriching their leadership skills.
Dr Donaldson will set off on her three-week expedition to Antarctica on 28 January 2025. The voyage will explore first-hand the impact of climate change and put their leadership, collaboration and problem-solving skills to the test.
