Check-in Point
When you arrive on campus, start your Open Day journey at the Check-in Point, near the Main Gates. Our team will scan your ticket and provide your event guide, campus map and UofG goody bag.
Travel Information
Parking Notice
On-campus parking is limited to permit holders. There are various pay & display parking spaces around the local Byres Road and Kelvin Way areas but spaces are limited. You may want to consider using the city's Subway Park & Ride scheme.

UofG Helpers
Our staff and current students will be on campus to help direct you on the day. Look out for them in their blue t-shirts, hoodies and jackets!
Quieter Hour & Area
A Quieter Hour will be from 2pm to 3pm for visitors who prefer a less busy environment, to visit our information stands. Noise levels and visitors will be at a minimum during this time within our indoor stand venues.
McIntyre Building Room 208 will also be available (9am – 3pm) if you are looking for a quieter area away from the crowds.
Top Tips for Open Day
✓ Have your mobile phone fully charged – you will need this for check-in and viewing our digital campus map
✓ Wear a pair of comfy shoes and prepare for all types of weather - it is Scotland after all!
✓ Chat with our Staff and Student Helpers – You can identify them by their blue t-shirts, hoodies and jackets
✓ Research online before you arrive and prepare questions to ask our academics and service staff
✓ We recommend bringing a notepad and pen along to talk sessions – they are packed full of information!

You can also download our campus map, or pick up a copy from the Check-in Point upon arrival.

Guided Campus Tours
During the Open Day, we invite you to take part in a guided campus tour of our World Changing campus.
Tours are lead by our Student Ambassadors, and will depart from near the Memorial Gates between 9am - 3pm on the day.
