Veterinary Medicine & Surgery

Application & interview guidelines

Thank you for your application to study Veterinary Medicine at University of Glasgow.

We ask that you complete a Veterinary Medicine Work Experience form and upload this to your Applicant Self Service portal by 22 October.

Your application will then go through an initial screening based on the information provided on your UCAS application and work experience form.

If your application is progressed to the next stage, you will be sent details to complete an on-line ethical reasoning test. The scenarios are based on situations you are likely to come across, either in practice or your daily life, and you are asked to state what you would need to consider if you are faced with these circumstances. The test should take about 30 minutes but you will be given 45 minutes to complete this.

If your test scores are acceptable, we will invite you to attend an interview.

We will try to offer an alternative slot however this is not always possible. Please contact us on vet-admissions@glasgow.ac.uk to request a re-scheduled interview.

Applicants to the BVMS Programme have a responsibility to highlight any current or previous health issues, so that advice and support can be offered where necessary. Candidates who declare any health issues are considered on the same criteria and principles as other candidates. Should you have a visual or hearing impairment, mental health difficulty, physical, mobility or other disability that we need to know about prior to your interview, please email no later than 2 weeks in advance of your interview so that modifications/support can be arranged.
