In English Language Level 2 you will develop more advanced skills in your understanding of both modern and historical sides of the subject. Issues of language, persuasion and authority will be discussed, and you will acquire more skills in dealing with linguistic variation and change. The historical side of the subject will be covered in much greater depth, with distinctive components on medieval English literature and the language of Shakespeare.
