Principia events and outings

As part of the Principia experience, students get the opportunity to experience the rich culture of Scotland through a special series of extra-curricular events and outings. Past outings have included visits to museums and art galleries, tours of historic buildings and locations, and trips to other places of cultural significance in and around Glasgow.

Students typically go on a class field trip to scenic Alloway, home of poet Robert Burns, and to Culzean Castle, a picturesque property on the Ayrshire coast. This trip forms part of the core Scottish Enlightenment class taken by Principia students. Students on the programme also take another trip to a place of cultural interest: destinations vary, but in the past have included trips to castles, historic towns, and even boat rides across a Scottish Loch.

We also run social events for Principia students, including the opportunity for students and staff to meet in a social setting.
