Principia Events and Outings Program
Culzean Castle
As part of the Principia experience, students get the opportunity to experience the rich culture of Scotland through a special series of extra-curricular events and outings. Past outings have included visits to museums and art galleries, tours of historic buildings and locations, and trips to other places of cultural significance in and around Glasgow. The revamped program now includes a trip to the Northeast of Scotland with overnight stay in a country mansion, visit to the breathtaking Dunnotar Castle on the Scottish coast, and a return journey via either to St Andrews, the home of golf, or to the historic town of Stirling, which boasts its own castle.
In addition to this excursion, students also go on a class trip to scenic Alloway, home of poet Robert Burns, and to Culzean Castle, a picturesque property on the Ayrshire coast. This trip forms part of the core Scottish Enlightenment class taken by Principia students.
We also run a series of social events for Principia students, including the opportunity for students and staff to meet in a social setting. For further information about the Principia events program, contact Moira Hansen.
