Summer school accommodation

Living with fellow Summer School students in one of our residences for the duration of your course, maximises your student experience – you will get to meet others, make new friends and maybe even learn how to cook something different!

Our residences

Typically, we use our Winton Drive, Murano Street Student Village, Kelvinhaugh Street and Queen Margaret Residence for summer school students.

Residences are about a 20-minute walk to campus, near local amenities and are all well-served by public transport, to help you get around Glasgow and beyond. Our student flats see between five to eight students sharing and we do have some larger flats of up to twelve people.

How to Apply

72 hours (3 days) after you have accepted your offer to study with us, you will be able to apply for accommodation.

You should use the online application form to apply. This will be looked at by our colleagues in Accommodation Services and they will look at applications as they come in, and allocate you to a room.

You can use the online application form to make a request to share with a particular person (please don’t submit requests by email). You should be aware though, that while we will consider requests and do our best, it may not be possible to accommodate everyone.

To prevent a delay in processing your application please ensure you create your application under 2024-2025 and use applicant type 'Summer School'.

Cost

Costs for accommodation are outlined on each course page and are inclusive of bedding and bed linen, Wi-Fi, utilities (i.e water and electricity) and well-equipped kitchens.

When it comes to paying for accommodation, charges will be added to your student record the week after you arrive in Glasgow in the summer. Once they are added, you will be able to play online and you will find information about how to pay on Accommodation Service’s payment methods webpage.
