How to apply and VISA/ETA information

How to apply

To apply for a course, you must complete the Online Application Form:

  • Each course page has a link to the relevant application. Find your chosen course page. You’ll see the 'apply now' at the top right of each page.
  • You must then register for an account with the University of Glasgow
  • Once you have logged in, you can then complete the online application form.
  • Once we receive your application, we will send an email to acknowledge receipt.

What you need to apply

When you apply you will be asked to upload a number of documents, so make sure you have those ready. You will need:

  • Your most recent official transcript, outlining your completed courses and the ones you are currently studying. We'd usually expect this to be signed and/or stamped by your University. You may need to request this from your University.
  • A copy of your English qualification, if English isn’t your first language (see the entry requirements on the individual course pages, for more information on our language requirements).
  • The photo page of your passport that you will use to travel to the UK (this can be uploaded later in the process if for example, you are currently applying for a new passport).

What happens next

Your application will be processed by our Admissions Team, who work closely with Summer School staff. You will usually recieve a response within 14 days of applying.

We will issue a conditional offer, unconditional offer or rejection.

  • A conditional offer usually means you still need to upload either an official transcript or evidence of English language.
  • An unconditional offer means you have met all of the academic and English language requirements.

Once you have an offer, you need to accept this through Applicant Self-Service.

Application self service

Once your application has been received, you will receive an email from the University which will include a link to the Applicant Self-Service portal and your log in details.

Applicant Self-Service is used for to check the status of your application, upload any additional documents, update your personal details, and most importantly, accept your offer.
