Bachelor of Engineering (BEng)
There are a number of collaborative Bachelor of Engineering degrees available for in-country study in Singapore. These programmes are run by the School of Engineering.
About the School of Engineering
The University established a Regius Chair of Civil Engineering and Mechanics in 1840, making Glasgow the oldest university school of engineering in the UK. It has been delivering a world-class engineering education for more than 160 years and services around 2,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students each year.
The School has an annual research income of £23m and boasts facilities that include the state-of-the-art James Watt Nanofabrication Centre, a £4.2m Electronics Design Centre, a Centre for Rehabilitation Engineering for spinal injuries, and wind tunnel facilities to test aerofoils, cars and bridges. The research environment is enriched through extensive collaboration with other leading universities and research institutes worldwide on a range of projects that address the technological needs of society.
The School of Engineering pioneered the University's partnership with Singapore Institute of Technology commencing in September 2011, and has subsequently increased its in-country portfolio to include the following degree programmes: the BEng (Honours) in Aeronautical Engineering and BEng (Honours) in Aerospace Systems are delivered on campus at Singapore Polytechnic; the BEng (Honours) in Civil Engineering is delivered on campus at SIT @ Dover; and the BEng (Honours) in Mechanical Design Engineering and BEng (Honours) in Mechatronics are delivered on campus at Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
