Summary

In this course we explore child development from pre-birth through to adolescence. We consider the influence of psychological theory and research on our understanding of brain development, language, cognition, social and emotional development. Students will learn about typical and atypical development, the implications of these for supporting children and how theory can inform teaching and parenting practice.
