Do I need to complete the course assessment?
Yes, to receive a final grade and credits for a course, you will be required to complete at least 75% of the course assessments.
Can I take another course after my first one?
Yes. If you enjoy one course, we would be happy to welcome you to join our PGCert, PGDip, and/or MSc programme in End of Life Studies. You wouldn’t need to apply again, just get in touch with your course convenor to discuss it. Although it is important to note that if you with to progress to the PGCert/PGDip/MSc, your maximum duration of study (as defined by UofG regulations) starts when you take your first course, and not when you move to another plan. Please see our programme regulations for more information.
Do I need to travel or attend any assessments in person?
No. All courses are delivered remotely, with the opportunity to attend a weekly virtual 90-minute seminar
Can I use my course credit towards the MSc/PGDip/PGCert programme?
If you complete a course for credit, i.e. you complete the course assessment, then this can be used as prior learning if you later wish to transfer to the PGCert/PGDip/MSc programme.
How long should I spend studying?
Each course requires approximately 8-10 hours of study per week. There are approximately 200 notational hours of study altogether, which includes the time developing your assessments.

Do I need to pay the full amount of the course upfront?
You will be asked for payment as soon as you financially register. Please note you’re your fees will show as £0 in your student profile until you enrol in your chosen course. This will then change to the full fee you are required to pay. You will receive an email with specific information on academic and financial registration and so please read this email carefully.
I am being sponsored by my employer to take a course, where should I provide my sponsorship letter?
If you are being sponsored by a UK public sector body, you will be asked to provide a sponsorship letter when you complete the application form (to evidence your employment) and when you complete financial registration.
If you are not a UK public sector body employee, you will only need to provide your sponsorship letter during financial registration. Please follow the University's guidance on sponsor letters for information on what to include.
You do not need to provide a sponsorship letter during the initial registration form. Employees of UK public sector bodies will only be asked to confirm their employment.
My employer has asked me for an invoice, where can I find this?
