Politics & International Relations
Politics at the University of Glasgow has a long and illustrious history. We attract a large and diverse body of students to study on our Masters programmes. Our particular strengths lie in international relations, human rights, comparative politics including European politics, and political communication. We also work with others in the University to offer a rang of interdisciplinary programmes. You can explore international politics in relation to human rights or to issues such as global security or the global economy. You can focus on particular regions such as China or Central and Eastern Europe, studying politics alongside social, economic or cultural aspects of these areas.

Student testimonial
"I would recommend the programme to anyone interested in the way politics impacts on the wider community, including the media and the influence new media and social media is having on getting messages out. The lecturing team is well informed and committed to helping their students, and the learning and teaching is varied, informed and dynamic and offers students the opportunity to engage in a group setting and on their own initiative."
Elizabeth McLaughlin, MSc Political Communication
