Antonio Ivan
Hello! I'm the Economic and Social History Rep Antonio Ivan. I am from Mexico City (CDMX). I did I did a MSc in History and Conflict Archaeology with credits in Artifact Studies, specialising in medical history. My current research is focused on intersex history, and my research methodology is primarily archival research approached through an interdisciplinary framework. For a historian, I spend a lot of time writing about bioethics and annotating medical literature. I'm part of the Medical Humanities Network and the ACFA and a few other interest groups.
One thing that I wish someone had told be at the beginning of the PhD is that the ethics process can be arduous and depending on your area of research you might find the forms are not tailored to the kind of data gathering you'll be undertaking. Remember you can always ask for guidance from your supervisors, the Data Management Office, and FOI officers, as well as other PhD students.
Before coming to university I wanted to become a folk musician and I joined the circus for a little over three years. If you see me around the hub please come say 'hi' and know that at all times I would love to go for a coffee and a chat.
