Event 17 June 2015: A half day seminar for staff and pupils of Glasgow schools on ‘What lessons can be learned from the referendum experience?’
On 17 June 2015 the Stevenson Trust is organising a half day seminar for staff and pupils of Glasgow schools to discuss their research findings in ‘Schools, Political literacy and the 2014 Scottish Referendum’ (March 2015) ‘What lessons can be learned from the referendum experience?’
The seminar is organised to listen to the views of teachers and pupils on how political education can be improved given the lowering of the voting age for the 2016 Scottish Parliament elections.
The seminar is principally by invitation for Glasgow schools. There may however be scope to include representative schools from other authorities. Teachers from schools outwith Glasgow can enquire about places to Dr Craig MacDonald: Craig.MacDonald2@glasgow.ac.uk
