This inter-University research study will examine the design of counter-terror communication with a view to reduce fear and re-engage awareness in communities in public spaces. "Safer Spaces" will explore ways in which counter-terror information has been employed in the past and how it might be effectively deployed in the future. The project team also includes design specialists from Dundee, Salford, and the London College of University of the Arts (London) as well as a social geographer (Durham), a sensor engineer (University of the West of England), and a risk psychologist (Kings College).
