The Social History Society will hold their annual conference at the University of Glasgow from 30 March to 1 April 2010. The University is well-represented in the Society, with two members of staff from Economic and Social History on the committee, along with two from the Department of History.

The 2010 conference is organised into six themes:

  • Deviance, Inclusion and Exclusion
  • Global Markets and Social Orders
  • Life-cycles and Life-styles
  • Political Cultures, Policy and Citizenship
  • Narratives, Emotions and the Self
  • Spaces and Places

Staff and students are encouraged to submit paper proposals by the deadline of 2 October 2009. Download the 'Call for Papers', linked on the right, for more details.
