Crime and Criminal Justice
The School houses the Scottish Centre for Crime and Criminal Justice Research, a world leading centre that seeks to advance our understanding of crime and criminal justice through theoretical, empirical and applied research. The centre adopts a collaborative approach and works closely with communities, policy makers and the wider public locally, nationally and internationally.
Included here is work led by Alistair Fraser on Public Health, Youth and Violence Reduction, Susan Batchelor, Caitlin Gormley and Marguerite Schinkel’s work exploring the views and experiences of people with lived experience of repeat violent victimisation, Sarah Armstrong’s work Scottish prisons, Fergus McNeil’s work on desistence and reintegration and Michele Burman’s work on domestic abuse.
