New Sociology staff

We're pleased to welcome new Sociology teaching staff to the School
A warm welcome to Dr Karen Cuthbert who has joined the School as Lecturer in Sociology. Karen comes from the University of Sheffield and previously the University of Leeds, where they worked as a Research Fellow on the Living Gender in Diverse Times project. Karen completed their undergraduate, Masters and PhD all in Sociology at Glasgow, and has research and teaching interests in asexuality and other forms of non-sexualities, gender, youth, qualitative research methodology, disability and autism. They have been published in a number of forums, including Sociology, Gender & Society, Qualitative Research, Sexualities, Journal of Gender Studies, Journal of Youth Studies, Educational Review and The Routledge Handbook of Disability & Sexuality.
We're also please to welcome Sam Lawton who joins the School as a Tutor in Sociology. Sam is an interdisciplinary social researcher of sexuality and gender. His PhD project is on bisexual men and their partner’s interconnected experiences of identity, relationships and prejudice. Sam’s other interests include critical and political sociology related to activism as well as postmodernist interpretations of society.
