Our Head of Urban Studies was an expert witness talking about her research on Lived Experience
On Wednesday 7 October our Head of Urban Studies, Professor Sharon Wright, appeared on the BBC Radio 4 programme, Moral Maze, as an expert witness. Sharon was discussing her research on Lived Experience and how that should influence policy making.
Sharon said ‘President Trump’s contraction of COVID-19 has prompted debate about the role of lived experience in policy making. I’m excited to draw on my research to debate the question: does living through an experience, like poverty or claiming Universal Credit, offer a degree of authenticity and authority that is not available to others?’
