The School is pleased to welcome Dr Rhys Crilley who joins our Politics & International Relations team
The School extends a warm welcome to Dr Rhys Crilley who has joined as a Leverhulme Trust funded Early Career Research Fellow within Politics and International Relations . His three year project - Narratives of Nuclear Weapons: How Emotions Shape Deterrence and Disarmament - explores the contemporary politics of nuclear weapons by analysing how the governments of the USA and UK narrate changes to their nuclear weapons policies and how citizens of these states feel emotionally invested in them. Before moving to Glasgow, Rhys was a Post Doctoral Researcher in Global Media and Communication at The Open University where he worked on the AHRC funded Reframing Russia: From Cold War to 'Information War'? project.
