Edna Mutua is joining our School in June as a Post-Doc Research Associate
Edna Mutua is to join the School of Social & Political Sciences in June as a Post-Doc Research Associate in the SNAP-AMR project.
Prior to her appointment at the University, Edna was a Research Consultant at the International Livestock Research Institute in Nairobi, Kenya. Her responsibility entailed conducting a qualitative assessment of barriers to livestock vaccine uptake in a multi-disciplinary project focused on optimizing Rift Valley Fever vaccine uptake in East Africa.
Edna holds a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Her research interests include Rift Valley Fever and Malaria control and management, health seeking behaviours, conservation agriculture in sub-Saharan Africa, youth (un)employment in sub-Saharan Africa, gender analyses, and mentorship in science.
Edna's research has been published in reputable journals such as the Malaria Journal, PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases, The IDS Bulletin and International Journal of Agricultural Sustainability.
