The Social Support and Migration in Scotland (SSAMIS) project are holding an exhibition in Arbroath and Brechin as part of their community engagement activities. The project focuses on migrants from Central and East Europe who have chosen to make Scotland their home.

The exhibition will reflect the lives of those who have moved to the Angus area of the country and will examine questions such as:

  • What is home?
  • Where is home?
  • What makes a place a home?
  • When does a place become a home?

It will feature work from local professional and amateur artists, and by children from St Thomas RC Primary in Arbroath. There will also be interactive activities for visitors and and workshops for the local schools.

On 12 June at 5:30pm there will be an event at the Arbroath Library to celebrate the exhibition. As well as refreshments for those who attend, there will be the chance to talk to the contributors and to those involved in the SSAMIS project.
