Connection in the School of Social & Political Sciences
What do we mean by connection?
Our degree programmes, interdisciplinary in their nature, help our students to connect theory with practice.
Throughout your studies with us you'll have the opportunity to attend guest speaker series and guest lectures from industry practitioners, network with alumni, academics and professionals, and connect across the University of Glasgow as a whole.
Accredited Programmes
Some of our degree programmes also benefit from industry body accreditation which brings lots of networking and professional development.
For certain programmes, students can take courses taught by the University of Glasgow's triple-accredited Adam Smith Business School.
Learning outside the classroom
Some of our programmes offer students the opportunity to take their learnings into the field, such as study trips and fieldwork opportunities.
Learning into practice
Through the College of Social Sciences, students have the opportunity to embark on collaborative research projects with with support available to guide you through this process.
Learning through research
The School of Social & Political Sciences hosts several world-leading research centres tackling the key social and political challenges of our time. The centres run a range of events throughout the year to engage with the wider community.
