Health and Safety Committee and Policy
The committee is comprised of the Head of Administration, safety officers, an academic representative, a student representative, and key campus partners from Dumfries & Galloway College, University of the West of Scotland, and Crichton Development Company. The aim of the committee is to maintain a high level of Health, Safety & Wellbeing for University of Glasgow staff and students by taking a campus-wide holistic stance.
Regular agenda items include our quarterly H&S inspections, reported accidents, fire safety, H&S training, College of Social Sciences H&S Committee updates, and the development of new procedures. The committee meets quarterly and any member of staff is welcome to attend. If you want to raise an issue at the meeting, but cannot attend yourself, then feel free to discuss with a committee representative or email dumfries-safety-officer@glasgow.ac.uk.
