Research interests
Background
I joined the University of Glasgow as a Lecturer in Psychology in November 2023, contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision.
Prior to that, I was a Lecturer in Psychology at Solent University and the University of Liverpool, where I taught a range of modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across the British Psychological Society (BPS) curriculum including Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods, Social Psychology, Individual Differences, Cognitive Psychology, and Developmental Psychology.
Before getting these lectureships, I worked as a Postgraduate Demonstrator at Newcastle University and a Subject Teacher at INTO University of East Anglia. In these roles, I taught several modules to foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate students in the programmes of Psychology, Applied Linguistics, Cross-cultural Communication, Biology, and Social Sciences and Humanities.
I also worked on two research projects as a Research Associate at Newcastle University and the University of East Anglia. The former focused on developing a critical learning skills framework for postgraduate students, while the latter aimed to develop a toolkit to enhance understanding of power dynamics in teaching and learning, and to reduce disparities in these dynamics based on gender, ethnicity, nationality, or socioeconomic identity.
In Vietnam, I was a Lecturer at Ton Duc Thang University and co-founded an educational startup.
I completed my PhD research exploring the learning journeys of being critical thinkers at Newcastle University, where I also obtained a PgCert in Research Training and an MA with Distinction. I completed my first degree at Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
