Experimental
Our group provides a highly dynamic experimental environment, working at laboratories large and small and collaborating with groups throughout the world. Students will have the opportunity to work on small scale experiments where they will have responsibility for overseeing the full lifecycle; within a large international collaboration at the Jefferson Laboratory in the USA; or at all levels in between at a range of other labs. Typically, students will have full responsibility for a particular aspect of the experiment detector, simulation or software related tasks and be able to choose from a large variety of physics analysis topics across our research themes. Individual projects may be weighted more towards software or detector/electronics development depending on the preferences of the student.
