PhD Opportunities
The research group provides world leading expertise across the full range of hadron and nuclear physics activities and as such are able to offer PhD projects personalised to the skills and interests of individual students.

Studentships will broadly be aligned to one of our specialised sub themes, but will generally overlap across this spectrum: Experimental, Data Analysis and Interpretation and Detector Development.

What is in it for you?
PhD students learn and develop a wide range of skills during their studies, ranging from technical skills in programming, data acquisition, data analysis and experimental simulation and modelling, to professional skills in project and time management, communication and teamwork. Recent graduates from the group have found employment in a variety of jobs in the UK and further afield, in disciplines as diverse as academia, IT, finance, medical physics and various technology-based industries.
