Biography
Kimon moved to the University of Glasgow in 2018 to Join Prof. Helen Walden's lab, in a project focused on ubiquitination events occuring in the Fanconi Anemia DNA repair pathway. His research there helped elucidate the molecular functions of such ubiquitination events, as well as the biochemical/structural basis of their interdependency. In 2023 he moved to Prof. Paula da Fonseca's group on a joint project with Prof. Robert Insall, funded by the Medical Research Council. Kimon's current research is focused on structural conformations of the Scar/WAVE regulatory complex and how these are implicated in controlling actin protrusion and cell migration.
