- Catalyst is a career and leadership mentoring programme designed specifically for research staff, where senior academic staff mentors can help you get the most out of your role.

PhD Student looking for thesis guidance or preparing for future doctoral supervision?
The PhD Thesis Support Mentoring Scheme
- The Thesis Mentoring programme pairs PGRs who are actively writing their thesis with a trained and experienced Thesis Mentor, who is a member of research staff.
- Thesis mentoring can be a valuable opportunity for research staff to get experience that prepares for future doctoral supervision.
Early Career Academic looking for structured career support?
The Early Career Development Programme
- Mentoring within ECDP aims to provide a structured support mechanism to guide staff towards achieving their career-path aims and objectives.
- It is designed to help accelerate early academic career development by fostering the transfer and exchange of knowledge between academic staff who have experience and a track record of success, and early career academics who could benefit from the support of a partnership approach to professional development.
Looking for an interdisciplinary scheme?
The University of Glasgow's Inter-College Mentoring Scheme
- The mentoring portal is a self-service facility created to support the matching of mentees and mentors within the University of Glasgow.
- The main aim is to support staff throughout the UofG with their career and professional development, to increase mentoring activity and build networks and facilitate the sharing of knowledge and expertise between staff at different career stages and different job families.
- There is no college or school limit here - allowing broader insights for your mentoring goals.
