Research interests
Research interests:
My current research is focused on the work of Edoardo Sanguineti and the 1960s neoavanguardia movement. From an initial interest in Sanguineti's poetry, I have broadened the scope of my research to include other areas of his work, seen also in relation to other cultural phenomena of those years. In the past I have worked extensively on modern Italian poetry, as reflected in my 2007 anthology of Twentieth-Century poetry. Among other topics, I have worked in particular on the poetry of Eugenio Montale, on which I have published various articles and a monograph, as well as an edited volume of essays.
