Research and Scholarship

In tandem with the Stirling Maxwell Centre and building on the expertise in text/image research within the School, this cluster is based on SMLC’s established profile in this area and its track record of making excellent use of outstanding University collections (notably the Hunterian and the Emblems Collection in Glasgow University Library).  

This group has been taking this work forward to its next phase of growth to include Visual Culture in literature and the arts more broadly (for instance, Mexican photography, French architecture and art, or Brazilian film)
