Professional affiliations
The University of Glasgow English for Academic Studies unit (formerly EFL Unit) has been involved with BALEAP since its original incarnation as SELMOUS.
Since then, members of the EAS team members have contributed to the work of BALEAP including serving on the TEAP Competency Framework working party (Carole Macdiarmid) and the Can Do working party, which developed Competency statements for international students at Master’s level (Moira Calderwood and Anneli Williams). Carole MacDiarmid is a BAS Assessor and Anneli Williams is an Ordinary Member on the BALEAP Executive Committee.
UoG EAS have hosted two BALEAP Professional Issues Meetings: Learner Identity: Managing Transitions in Nov 2016 and Academic Listening in Nov 2009. We will be hosting the Bi Annual BALEAP conference in April 2021.
