Thanks to the generous participation of many colleagues across SMLC, this very successful event to promote language learning aimed at secondary schools all over Scotland took place last September. Everyone who was involved in delivering this second edition of the Taster Sessions feels very proud of how engaged the nearly 100 attendees were, and about the great feedback received in which pupils highlight the interactive nature of the activities as well as how much they enjoyed learning about so many new languages.

 

The programme offered parallel sessions in Comparative Literature, Italian, German, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Surrealism, and in the spirit of collaboration across the college of Arts and Humanities, sessions in English Language and Linguistics and Gaelic as well.
