Biography
Caroline is an anatomist with a strong interest in reproductive biology, histology, and embryology.
She graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc (Hons) in Anatomy before pursuing her research career at the University of Edinburgh with a Masters by Research in Reproductive Sciences and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences.
Her PhD investigated the effects of chemotherapy agents on the prepubertal testis with the aim to develop fertility preservations strategies for young boys undergoing cancer treatment.
Throughout her PhD, Caroline taught on the undergraduate biomedical sciences programme at the University of Edinburgh and Zhejiang University in China.
After the successful completion of her PhD, Caroline continued to pursue her research interests as a research associate at the University of Edinburgh before joining the University of Glasgow as a Lecturer in Human Anatomy.

Teaching
Caroline is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is currently undertaking the PgCAP programme at the University of Glasgow.
Caroline is course coordinator for the Functional Anatomy course for International Pre-Medical Students and coordinates the anatomy teaching on the Biomedical Life and Social Science course for First Year Nursing. She is also the deputy coordinator for Problems in Mammalian Reproduction.
She also contributes to teaching on the following courses:
