Hypothesis summary

The primary objective of this study is to pilot the use of the Pediatric Yorkhill Malnutrition Score (PYMS) in routine clinical practice and evaluate its effectiveness in identifying children with paediatric inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at risk of malnutrition. As a secondary objective, we aim to develop the Pediatric IBD Nutrition Screening Tool (PIBD-NUTS) using data collected from the first objective Finally, the third objective is to validate the PIBD-NUTS tool by comparing its performance against a comprehensive nutritional assessment, including dietary records and body composition analysis.
