NHS training and state registration
Our UofG MSc in Medical Physics can be used as an important component of Scottish National Training Scheme (SMPCETS) for potential Clinical Scientists & Engineers.
The National Training comprises work-based training & development of academic knowledge & skills needed to employable as an NHS Clinical Scientist/Engineer. It takes 3.5 yrs to complete, and leads to state registration an NHS Healthcare Science/Engineering on the HCPC register.
SMPCETS provides Healthcare Science training which is equivalence to the UK NHS Scientist Training Program (STP) scheme. Details & resources for the Scottish scheme can be found via the link below. There are also useful links to training support from National Education Scotland (NES), and the UK STP training program.
