Professor Liam Dorris
Professor Liam Dorris leads a clinical-research team from his NHS post as a Paediatric Neuropsychologist at the Royal Hospital for Children (RHC) in Glasgow, which is a leading university teaching hospital. His team provide clinical placements for clinical psychology trainees and research supervision for a range of degree programmes.
Liam was awarded a prestigious Fellowship of the British Psychological Society (BPS) in 2017, and is a member of the editorial board of the European Journal of Paediatric Neurology, Chair of the awards committee of the BPS Division of Neuropsychology, and former Chair of the BPS Faculty of Paediatric Neuropsychology (2013-2016).
Liam has extensive involvement in teaching, training and research within paediatric neuropsychology, he is the external examiner for the BPS Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN), former external examiner for the paediatric neuropsychology programme at the Institute of Child Health, UCL (2011-2015).
Liam was a non-executive board member of Epilepsy Scotland, a leading charity providing a range of services for people with epilepsy, and also served as a member of the finance sub-committee (2010-2019). His research has been funded by the National Institute of Health Research HTA programme, Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity, Epilepsy Research UK, and a range of industry partners.
