Teaching facilities
Our purpose-built Wolfson Medical School Building (WMSB) provides an ideal learning environment for medical undergraduates, including:
- The Walton Library and Resource Centre
Students can take advantage of a custom-built Library 24 hours a day. Equipped with books, journals and multimedia PCs, the centre is ergonomically designed to give maximum support to the learning process. - The Clinical Skills Area
A specially designed area for developing and practising clinical and communication skills, including a fully-equipped ward where students train in a simulated clinical environment before meeting the challenge of real hospital situations. - The Web Portal
Our undergraduate web portal provides students with a single point of contact with the School of Medicine and a personalised browsing experience with information and teaching content relevant to their particular studies. - MicroMuseumThe new MicroMuseum in the School of Medicine is designed to illustrate two hundred years of health care delivery and will be of particular interest to the doctors and nurses of tomorrow – our students.
In addition, the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital offers a state-of-the-art clinical teaching environment. The New Lister Building at Glasgow Royal Infirmary is a newly refurbished medical teaching hub in Glasgow city centre.
