Intended Learning Outcomes
Intended learning outcomes are a guide for Undergraduate Medical Students and Clinical Teachers. These summarise the key knowledge, skills and attitudes that it is expected a student will acquire by the time they qualify as a doctor.
Students are advised that they should read the relevant intended learning outcomes before they commence each block. Educational Supervisors should try to cover most of the learning outcomes during the block but students are aware that supervisors cannot keep track of what each individual student has seen. It is the students’ responsibility to monitor their experience during the block and to fill in any gaps.
