Concerning Behaviour and Poor Attendance
You may from time to time have a student whose behaviour, attendance or time-keeping is poor. This can be an indicator of either health problems or professionalism concerns.
The Medical School likes to respond fairly quickly to any of these issues, particularly if the student has not called in sick or reported a problem. Early response can help prevent problems escalating.
You should contact the relevant Year Administrator, if the following occurs:
- A student does not arrive for the start of their placement, is persistently absent, ceases attending, or you have concerns about their timekeeping.
- You have concerns about a student's behaviour.
