Dr Victoria Harper, Senior Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry was invited to appear live on BBC Radio Scotland to discuss the impact of obesity on oral health.
Dr Victoria Harper Senior Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry was invited to appear live on the BBC Radio Scotland John Beattie news programme today. She was there to discuss the impact of obesity on oral health following a call for the first minister Nichola Sturgeon to restrict prices on junk food prices in an effort to help tackle obesity.
During the interview Dr Harper discusses with John Beattie the physiological impact of obesity and it’s associated co-morbidities on periodontal disease and the physical difficulties in treating patients who are significantly overweight.
