Michael Brown, BDS5 student spoke recently at the biannual British Endodontic Society Teachers Group Meeting held at the University of Manchester. He was invited to speak to endodontic teachers from around the United Kingdom about the results of his elective project titled “Magnification in Undergraduate Endodontics”
The BES Teachers Group chaired by Dr Alison Qualtrough heard from Michael about how magnification is currently used in undergraduate education and proposed points for consideration for developing the integration of magnification further. His presentation was received with great interest by the audience. It sparked significant discussions about the current use of magnification and what the future may hold.
Michael was excited to have had this opportunity and says “It was a real privilege to have had the opportunity to speak to such a distinguished group of dental educators. Dr Qualtrough and the rest of the group gave me an exceptionally warm welcome. It was brilliant to see the interest shown in the work that I had done with Dr McLean. I am excited to see what may come of the discussions sparked”
