Postgraduate Research Students Enjoy Prize Seminar

On 27th April, the Dental School ran its annual Postgraduate Research Student Prize seminar.
On 27th April, the Dental School ran its annual Postgraduate Research Student Prize seminar. Eight PhD students at various stages of their research presented to an audience of Dental School staff, PhD supervisors and peers.
The event was judged by Dr Jo-anne Murray, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School, MVLS; Professor Gordon Ramage, Deputy Director of Research and Dr Andrea Sherriff, Director of Postgraduate Student Affairs, both Glasgow Dental School.
The winner was Mr Hasanain Alalwan, with his project entitled: Combining nanofabrication with natural antimicrobials to reduce denture plaque; and the runner-up was Ms Lauren Campbell who presented her work on the Characterisation and Location of T cells in the Oral Mucosa.
