Fireworks

June saw the final year dinner held at the Dalmahoy Resort near Edinburgh. The weekend started early with a group of 8 final year boys enjoying a round of 18 holes in superb weather on the championship course at the Dalmahoy. On their return down the 18th they were welcomed back by Mr Broad and Professor Welbury, just a few of the 40 plus staff that attended this years dinner.

The dinner was a great success with a number of outstanding speeches including a musical rendition from our Deputy Head of School, Professor Bissell and an excellent 3 course meal. Just when everyone thought the night couldn't get any better, all the guests were whisked outside for a phenomenal firework display! The night concluded with a traditional ceilidh and disco.

The next day after a lovely breakfast the students were bussed off to a game of paintball returning to the hotel later that day for another evening of entertainment. Mardi Gras was the theme of the second night seeing the students dressing up in colourful carnival attire!

A fantastic weekend was had by all and a big thank you has to go to the ball convenors Amy Porter and Sarah Mossey. They did a first class job!
