Abstract
The notion of stability condition on a triangulated category has been introduced by Bridgeland around ten years ago. The studying of the the wall-crossing on the space of stability condition has led many interesting result in birational geometry. Meanwhile, the existence of stability conditions is still wildly open in the case of higher dimensional varieties. In the talk, I’ll give an introduction to some related concepts in the study of this field, and explain how to visualize the space of stability condition via some simple cases. I’ll mainly talk about results/conjectures in three directions: the existence of stability conditions; the topology of stability condition manifolds; the minimal model program via wall-crossing.
