How statistics can promote scholarship of teaching and learning

Abstract
The talk will outline different ways that the role of statistics in teaching for other disciplines is a natural way to create, implement, and study instructional innovations. Topics covered will include methods for qualitative evaluations of instructional innovations (or really, any changes!)
